I found The Luckiest Woman Ever: Molly Sutton Mystery 2 just as engaging and enjoyable as the first. Goddin’s descriptions are great. I love the lifestyle in the small French village. Molly’s challenges continue, along with daily life in France. The characters are realistic and likable. The cozy mystery has lots of intrigue without graphic violence. There’s an interesting twist at the end. The Luckiest Woman Ever: Molly Sutton Mystery 2 is a must read cozy mystery!

A story of great surprises and colorful characters. A stoy where anytbing can happen.

American Molly Sutton has earned her credentials as an amateur sleuth by the time this second book in the Molly Sutton mystery series begins. After all, she found a dead body in book 1. And now she’s stumbling over another one!

The story switches points of view very pleasingly, inviting readers into the lives of a wiser-than-he-realizes detective, sweet suspects who surely can’t be guilty, the one who should be guilty but is actually dead, and Molly (of course), weaving an enthralling tapestry around the events of a birthday party gone wrong. The cultural divide between big-city America and small-town France remains as broad as ever, well-rounded by the presence of Molly’s American friend. Meanwhile divides between young and old, male and female, sweet and nasty all arise, influencing suspicions and provoking argument. It’s all well-told, pleasantly good-natured, and centered on a fascinating mystery with Miss Marple overtones. An enjoyable read.

Disclosure: I only have an ebook, but maybe I should buy some print ones and continue reading the series. I’m enjoying it.

Enjoyed the setting of a village in France. The characters are likeable. The story was a fun read with plot twists. I recommend this book for an enjoyable pasttime.

What an interesting turn of events. There were so many suspects and the tidbits of clues would be thrown out there for you to decipher. Enjoyed the read.

Loved both books. Ready to move to Castillac, crime and all. Appreciated reading a book without bad language and graphic sex.
Will be reading more from this author.

I enjoyed the characterization and was able to see through Molly’s eyes. It was fun to try to solve the mystery and wrap up the story before the characters did. I will read more in this series.

You want to read a mystery that you can’t figure out who the murderer is - this is the one for you.

I got drawn back to Castillac for book two and am not sorry for it. Now just wish I hadn't spent all my pocket money on TimTams! The ending was a lot more "endy" and quite satisfactory. I was kept guessing right the way through, though the guilty party did make it on to my list of options. I love the whole village cast and I really want to see how Ben and Molly go. The only thing I didn't love was being tortured by the numerous pastries!

Wonderful light mystery story! Colorful characters adding to the very entertaining read! Romantic interludes set in the romantic scenes of France! Readers will be thoroughly entertained throughout the whole book! Thrilling and exciting episodes that will keep the readers entertained throughout!

A Good Read! This book is well-written, with good character development and (mercifully) without the sappy romance so many cozy mysteries have. The plot was decent, and not predictable.

That being said, the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it included a major pet peeve of mine, the overused and ridiculous turns of phrase that so many cozies repeat ad nauseum - "moaning" over food (no one does this, ever, except in cozies), and "eyebrow wiggling/waggling" (which is supposed to indicate suggestiveness, but just comes off as stupid, unless you're Groucho Marx). There were only 3 instances of those in this book (2 for moaning and 1 for waggling), but those were enough for me to knock it down 1 star.

Not sure if I will read more books in the series but I can recommend this one, for sure.
